Launch of the Ayushman CAPF Health Insurance Program 

Ayushman Bharat On January 23, 2021, the Indian government introduced the Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, which includes the Ayushman CAPF Health Insurance Scheme. The personnel of all the country’s authorized police units will receive health insurance under this programme.

The programme was introduced on Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose’s birthday. Shri Amit Shah, our nation’s home minister, has introduced the Ayushman CAPF Health Insurance Scheme. On this occasion, he gave certain members of the 7 Central Empowered Police Forces Ayushman CAPF health cards.

Through the Ayushman CAPF programme, almost 28 lakh members of the CAPFs, Assam Rifles, and National Security Guard would receive benefits. ‎

About 50 lakh individuals will benefit from the Ayushman CAPF health insurance programme. The Home Minister was grateful for the assistance provided by police officers in the aftermath of the coronavirus infection on this particular occasion. He also praised the police for their success in battling the coronavirus.
  • At the CRPF Group Center, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was also signed by the National Health Authority and the Ministry of Home Affairs. At the event were the Assam Health Minister, the Union Minister of State for Home Affairs, the Chief Minister of Assam, and the Home Minister.

Ayushman Bharat’s health insurance programme

Health Insurance Program 

Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji introduced the Swasthya Swasthya Bima Yojana on December 26, 2020, via video conference. Manoj Sinha, the governor of Jammu & Kashmir, and Amit Shah, the interior minister, also attended.

Treatment of 1.4 crore beneficiaries under Ayushman Bharat Yojana
